AWSA is committed to lifelong learning. That is why we provide our members with a first-rate professional development program that offers year long options to administrators at every level of experience and for most administrative positions.
Our conferences, workshops and seminars are planned BY adminstrators FOR administrators, so they are focused and relevant.
Most programs offer a college credit option through Viterbo University.
Annual Convention

Wisconsin School Leadership Academy
Improving student learning is the subject of this acclaimed three-day academy for district and school teams. Jointly offered with the Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators (WASDA).

Provides a “running start” to the new school year.
Center for New School Leaders
Gives practical information and support to principals throughout the first year, including:
- New Buiding Administrators Conference Series
- Mentoring
- 6 month trial membership
- Networking and support
Aspiring Administrator Program
Provides information about the principalship to educators considering a career in administration.
Aspiring Superintendent Program
Provides information to principals who are interested in the superintendency. Jointly offered with WASDA.
Regional Seminars
One-day programs on timely topics of interest, such as Interviewing Skills, and Teacher Supervision & Education.
PI 34 Information & Support
AWSA offers an array of options to help ensure members and their staff are in compliance with PI34 regulations.
